Resumen/Abstract de la Conferencia:
“Encyclopedia entries and handbooks typically present social epistemology as a list of loosely related topics. Does some theme bring unity to the list, and explain why social epistemology is interesting and important? This paper defends the following answer: that social epistemology explores varieties of social epistemic dependence; i.e., the variety of ways in which epistemic goods and states depend on cooperating agents and enabling social environments. It is argued that this approach explains the interest and importance of various topics, including the epistemology of testimony, systems epistemology, the epistemology of ignorance, and epistemic injustice.”
